This 4-day Lake Balaton itinerary is designed for the summer season (June–September), when Lake Balaton is perfect for swimming and sailing. From October to May, water activities are limited due to the colder temperatures, but the trip can still be enjoyed with a shorter, culture- and wine-focused version.

Day 1 – From Budapest to Siófok & Balatonfüred | Lake Balaton itinerary

Morning

Start your Balaton journey in Siófok (approx 2 hours from Budapest), the vibrant capital of the southern shore. Enjoy long sandy beaches, water sports, and the buzzing summer vibe.
